What about this though?
Do you do family group shots? Do these take a long time?
There are no time restrictions and no limits on the images I take, I welcome your input and ideas and I will always do my best to make sure every aspect of your day is covered. Whilst some couples like more groups shots others want more time spent on their portraits, we discuss this together and come up wth a plan that suits both of you. Family groups shots do take time, I recommend you factor in a couple of hours for your portraits and family pictures to be taken, this is usually in between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast.
Who owns the copyright? How many photographs will we get?
The copyright to each photograph remains with me but I grant reproduction rights for all the images allowing you to print and share your pictures as much as you like. The copyright law just protects my images from being altered or reproduced in magazines or online without my knowledge. You can expect anywhere between 400-500 images from a full day wedding package.
Will you need something to eat?
It can be a very long and busy day for a wedding photographer so I always welcome something to eat when you all sit down for the wedding breakfast but It is not necessary to include me in your table plans even if you are providing me with a meal. During your wedding breakfast I take the time to recharge batteries, check equipment, download images and prepare for the evening reception and have a cuppa! Most venues will supply your wedding team with something to eat if you let them know.
What about storage and back up of our images and information? Are you Insured?
I always try and keep a copy of all my images indefinitely but as I cannot guarantee the space, officially your images will be stored for 12 months, after this time only a small selection may be available. I strongly recommend you back up your USB as soon as you receive it. I will store your name, address, email and telephone details on a private internal database for 12 months. I will treat your data in the same way that I would wish my own personal information to be treated. I'll never sell or give it to a third party, and I'll take all reasonable steps to keep it safe and secure. You'll be able to unsubscribe at any time by emailing me at sonyaduncan@hotmail.co.uk. I promise not to bombard you with information or irrelevant offers. I am fully insured with public liability and indemnity cover and have back up cameras for my back up cameras! I am also DBS checked.
What if you are ill?
It has not happened yet, but never say never! I have a selection of photographer friends and colleagues that I can call upon should the worst happen, I will do my best to find someone to take my place or you are welcome to commission a replacement, any money you have paid to me will be returned if I am unable to complete my duties as your photographer or passed onto the replacement photographer, whichever you prefer.
How long before we get the images?
The edited photographs are usually available to download from your password protected gallery after 4-6 weeks, although in peak season this may be a bit longer. A USB follows shortly afterwards, sneak peaks are available via my Facebook page as I edit your wedding day during that time.
